Set of Three Shaker Oval Graduated Blue-painted Wooden Lap-seamed Boxes, America, late 19th century, with pine tops and bottoms, bent maple sides fastened with slender fingers fastened with copper tacks, dark blue paint, (minor paint wear, smallest with two base edge cracks), ht. 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 7/8, dia. 6, 9, 12 in., respectively. The smallest box has two nail hole cracks on lower ends.
