Two Transfer-decorated Staffordshire Pottery Children's ABC Plates, England, early 19th century, both with a raised alphabet band around the rim, one with blue transfer design depicting "A FISHING ELEPHANT," backstamped "C. A. & SONS/ENGLAND"; and a black transfer-decorated plate with polychrome accents depicting "THE KESTREL," (minor imperfections), dia. 7 1/2, 8 in., respectively. Kestrel with scattered light brownish stains.
