Norton, Bennington, Vermont, mid-19th century, one-gallon straight-sided crock with lug handles, decorated with a bird perched on a branch, with impressed maker's marks, (hairline, rim chip), ht. 7 3/8 in. 7/8 x 1/2 in rim chip on side opposite decoration, hairline across base and up side about 1 1/2 in. with associated 2 in. dia. area of discoloration.
