English, mid-19th century. Oval ironstone platter with orange and yellow hand painted peonies and other floral decoration with blue garden planter, rockery, and accents. Marked on bottom in blue with "MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA ENGLAND" with crown. Also with embossed numbers "16 159". Platter measures 17.5 inches x 14 inches. Oval ironstone platter raised on an oval tray stand with faux bamboo frame raised on four tapered legs with X form cross banding. Height of stand 19.25 inches, width 18.25 inches, depth 14.25 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
