Reba Stewart (American, 1930-1971) Lot of Two Body Paintings , c. 1967 Each signed "R. Stewart" on the strainer, one titled "Shadow" and identified on labels affixed to the strainer. Oil on canvas, 23 x 15 in., framed. N.B. Reba Stewart received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Yale University, and held teaching positions at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and Maryland Institute College of Art until her passing in 1971. A copy of the exhibition catalogue, Reba Stewart: A Legacy, Massachusetts College of Art, October 9 to November 20, 2006, accompanies the lot.
