Four Ivory Miniature Diptych Sundials, 18th and 19th century, including three rectangular examples, one opening to a brass dial, gnomon and compass, lg. 1 7/8, the next, on a wood core with Arabic and Roman numerals and calendar on the lid, lg. 1 3/4, the next with engraved compass on the lid, central compass and latitudes of principal cities on the inside lid, 2 1/4, the last, in triangular form, on wooden base, ivory lid with Roman numeral dial and inscribed I.W.L. 1761 , lg. 1 3/4 in.
