Spencer, Hotchkiss & Company Miniature Brass Timepiece, Salem Bridge, Connecticut, c. 1828, the mahogany case with stenciled splat and turned half columns flanking the wooden dial with Roman numerals and raised gilt decoration in the spandrels, lower looking glass, printed maker's label stating Eight-Day Brass Timepiece Manufactured by Spencer, Hotchkiss & Co., Salem Bridge, Conn. Warranted if Well Used , and eight-day brass time-only movement with compound lead weight and pendulum, ht. 21 in. No significant repairs, restoration or condition issues, label dark but very readable, dial undisturbed, original components.
