Six Blue Transfer-decorated Staffordshire Pottery Cup Plates, England, early 19th century, two depicting Castle Garden, New York, by Enoch Wood & Sons, one with a shell border, one depicting the "Landing of LaFayette at Castle Garden," one with a "Winter View at Pittsfield, Mass. ," and one depicting figures in a cottage playing cards, all by Clews, one showing a couple in a landscape strolling before a manor, (imperfections), dia. 4 1/8-4 5/8 in. one Castle Garden plate has a 1/2 in. chip to underside of rim; Landing of LaFayette at Castle Garden- has acrylic coating on it appears to have a repaired 1 in. crack from rim; card players- 2 in. line around base; strolling couple- bottom sprayed, top with clear acrilic coating.
