Miniature Portrait Profile of a Lady Wearing a Red Gown, America, c. 1840, unsigned, watercolor on paper, (imperfections), 3 1/2 x 3 in., in a pressed brass frame. Scattered paint losses, primarily to gown, small shallow surface losses to paper in the upper background an edges, (has a subtle abraded appearance), probably from insect damage, not laid down, nothing inscribed on the back.
