Five Framed Silhouettes, Anglo/American, early 19th century, a pair cut of thin white wove paper pasted onto black velvet, both signed "Bache"; a painted profile of a young man with China white details, the backing card inscribed "Benjamin Passmore"; a gentleman with hollow-cut head and bust with gray ink details, in an eglomise mat; a full-length cut and pasted silhouette of an older gentleman; a reverse-painted glass silhouette of a gentleman wearing a tricorn hat, the backboard inscribed "Mr. Crofs Wiath"; (imperfections), sight sizes from 3 1/4 x 2 3/4-6 5/8 x 4 3/4 in. Pair- possibly by William Bache, toning and light stains; young man -toning and light stains to background; gentleman w/ink details-faint bleached spots on paper backing. foxing on the background paper; standing gent- toning, light stains and a tear on upper center of backing paper; reverse painted gent- some flakes of paint losses.
