Large Norton Rockingham Glazed Stoneware Tree Stump-form Planter, F. B. Norton & Co., Worcester, Massachusetts, mid-to-late 19th century, molded with vines, cut branches, and bird's nest on the exterior, with large central and five smaller openings, impressed "F.B. NORTON WORCESTER MASS." on base, (imperfections), ht. 18 1/2 in. Several spider hairlines on base, 7 in. central opening rim line, several small rim lines possibly in the firing process, about five surface chips about the body small to about 5/8 in. dia.
