Paint-decorated Pine Storage Box, Charlotte, Vermont, c. 1853, rectangular box with hinged lid, opening to a cavity over a single drawer, the drawer back inscribed in pencil "Will Williams Charlotte, Vt. July 10, '53," the front of the box with two oval reserves painted with scenic views, probably the town of Charlotte, Vermont, and Lake Champlain, on an ochre-painted ground with brown linear borders, and outlining oval reserves on the top and sides, (minor paint wear), ht. 10 3/4, wd. 17, dp. 12 1/2 in.
