Jules Dupré (French, 1811-1889) Clearing Storm Inscribed "J. Dupré" l.r., identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on panel, 6 7/8 x 9 1/2 in. (17.5 x 24.1 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch to sky. N.B. We wish to thank Michel Rodrigue for his assistance with cataloguing the lot, and the work will be included in his forthcoming catalogue raisonne on Jules Dupré. Dots of retouch to the white cloud at center, spanning 4 1/2 x 3/4 in. at extreme height and width. Fine craquelure to paint and varnish layers.
