Frederick Judd Waugh (American, 1861-1940) Crashing Surf Signed "Waugh" l. r. Oil on Masonite, 25 x 30 in. (63.5 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, wear to l.r. corner of panel. Provenance: From a private Maine collection. With a partial label from Alice & Win Dibble, Shoreham, Vermont, on the frame backing paper. Scattered dabs of retouch to sky area, with the largest spanning 2 1/2 x 1/4 at extreme height and width. Minor varnish inconsistencies. Fine craquelure throughout. No additional condition issues to report.
