Louis Michel Eilshemius (American, 1864-1941) Nude in a Landscape Signed "EilshemiuS" l. r. Oil on paperboard, 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 in. (20.0 x 25.1 cm), in a hand-carved and embellished frame. Condition: Minor retouch, surface imperfections and grime. Stamp from Gramercy Art Studios, N.Y.C., on the frame backing, retouch to ur. and l.l. quadrants--light feathered washes to u.r. and two areas l.l., with the largest spanning 1 x 1/2 in. along right edge of frame liner. Craquelure to areas of heaviest impasto.
