William Zorach (American, 1887-1966) Sunrise Signed "Zorach" in pencil l. r., titled and inscribed on the reverse. Watercolor on paper/board, 15 1/2 x 22 3/4 in. (39.4 x 57.8 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle rippling, possible pigment losses c.l., tack holes in corners, brown paper tape remnants to the reverse. Provenance: Ex Collection of the Helaine Blum Collection, through to a private Maine collection. N.B. A copy of a letter from Jonathan Zorach dated June 16, 2001, accompanies the lot. Inscribed on the reverse "No. 15 Sunrise" followed by detailed framing instructions and a diagram. No additional condition issues to report.
