Irene [née Sweet] Dutcher was the wife of Warren W. Dutcher, Jr., Hopedale, Massachusetts, and the daughter-in-law of Frank J. Dutcher (1850-1930), a former president of the Draper Company (manufacturer of power textile looms) in Hopedale, Massachusetts. Rippling to canvas, which may benefit from having stretcher keys tightened or re-stretching. Bulge with resulting abrasion to l.c. along frame liner (due to an unidentified object being wedged between canvas and stretcher bar). Tack hole to l.l. corner. Varnish inconsistencies. Canvas loss and minor fraying to left tacking edge verso.
