Walter Gay (American, 1856-1937) Les Tapisseries Signed "Walter Gay" l. r., titled on a label affixed to the stretcher. Oil on panel, 18 1/8 x 21 5/8 in. (46.0 x 55.0 cm), framed. Condition: Fine craquelure, small frame abrasions, surface grime. The abrasions are from the rabbet of the frame, plus a small scratch l.l. The painting might benefit from cleaning. There are no other issues to report. PROVENANCE: Descended within a Massachusetts family collection.
