Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Fish Hawk, 1913, edition of 13 (Paff, 18). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l., initialed within the plate. Etching on laid paper with Medici crest watermark, plate size 11 3/4 x 9 3/4 in. (29.8 x 24.7 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 1 inch with deckled edges to three sides, lower margin folded under 2 1/2 inches below the image, pale mat burn and soiling. The sheet measures 17 1/2 x 12 3/4 inches. The work has probably been cleaned recently, although faint mat burn is visible near the upper edge.
