Two Bronze Vases, China, 19th century, both of archaic drinking vessel gu shape, one tall, crisply cast with bands of stylized taotie masks on a key-fret ground, separated by vertical flanges, below a band of cicada blades around the flaring neck; the other with bands of mythical animals between bands of cicada blades, ht. 8 3/8, 7 1/4 in.
