Rosewood Tea Caddy, 19th century, of sarcophagus form with central mother-of-pearl inlay framed by silvered metal inlay to front and to hinged lid, enclosing fitted interior with central circular red-painted well flanked by two boxes, on bun feet, ht. 7 1/2, wd. 12 1/2, dp. 6 1/2 in. Loss to mother-of-pearl and metal inlay, large horizontal crack to interior of lid, smaller shrinkage cracks throughout, chips, nicks and minor loss to veneer.
