Two Victorian Silver Baby Rattles, Birmingham, one 1871, George Unite, maker, engraved with leaf-tip bands and hung with five bells, lg. 4 1/2, the other c. 1868, chased and embossed with flowerheads and hung with four bells, lg. 4 1/4 in., each with a branch coral handle, approx. 1.8 troy oz. the c. 1868 with small repaired metal tear and some bends to silver at join of handle; date letter a little obscured, no visible maker's mark. 1871: good. both with minor age wear.
