Six Piece Gorham Sterling Tea and Coffee Service, 1880-81, comprising squat pear-shaped teapot, coffeepot, covered sugar, creamer, waste bowl, and kettle on stand with burner, the lids with flat leaves and palmettes, bodies engraved at rim with band of paterae lappets or demilunes and leaftip, with ribbed ear handles and spouts, monograms, coffeepot ht. 5 1/2 in., approx. 85.5 troy oz. teapot lid finial pushed to one side, and with a few light body dings. kettle with dings to bulbous portion of body. overal light wear to engraving (the heaviest to sugar, creamer, and bowl), and to monogram.
