George III Mahogany Secretary Bookcase, late 18th century, upper section with straight cornice carved with blind fretwork, with a pair of glass mullioned doors, lower section with secretary drawer enclosing pigeonholes, drawers, and leather writing surface, over three long drawers, raised on fret-carved bracket feet, ht. 82 1/4, wd. 42, dp. 20 5/8 in. right molding detached. top drawer cracked. Losses to spots of veneer. Veneer shrinkage cracks to sides of lower section. age typical nicks and gouges. has three shelves. The handle are a replacement, the original holes patched.
