Herbert & Co., makers, rectangular, with rounded corners and gadrooned rim, with pen well, and reticulated frames for two colorless glass bottle, engraved with crest, on shell feet, wd. 7 1/4 in.; sold with an English pin tray, and a Whiting pen tray, approx. 10.5 troy oz. total. usage wear and small metal fatique splits at left and right sides at back of pen well (each spilt approx. 1/4 to 1/2". age typical surface wear. pin and pen trays with pinpoints.
