German Goldwashed Silver and Ivory-mounted Figure of a Man Harvesting Grapes, Hanau, late 19th century, the figure wearing a rucksack containing a fruiting grapevine, with smaller vine in one hand, and walking stick in the other, mounted with carved ivory face, hands, and legs, mounted to domed naturalistic base set with small frog, beetle, and lobster, ht. approx. 7 1/2, approx. 8.4 troy oz. glue showing at neck, and one leg. possibly lacquered. minor age wear.
