Chinese, 20th century. Pair of reverse painted images of seated emperors wearing ornately decorated garments with dragon motif (one in blue and gold tones, the other in blue and rose pink tones). Each male sitter resting in lavish ornamented throne in interior, screen behind with four rows of characters. Both reverse paintings on glass and contained in matching stained wood frames with metal hooks at top for mounting. Framed (to top of metal framing hook) 22" x 13.75". Image size 18.25" x 12".
