(Colonial America, Massachusetts, Stamp Act), Manuscript document signed by a committee of three men in Hull, Daniel Souther, Caleb Goold, and Amos Binney, Jr. (?), eight pages, c. March 14th, 1774, excerpts from a town meeting in Hull, Massachusetts, fiery rhetoric leveled against the British monarchy concerning the imposition of the "tea tax" on the colonists and proposing resolutions that echo the declaration of independence, in part: "therefore resolved that in our opinion, every man by the laws of god & nature, has a right to life, liberty, & property, and to the peaceable & quiet enjoyment of each; while he injures not others", and further detailing eight additional resolutions all concerning the rights of the colonists, 8vo, (minor dampstaining, losses along one fold, edge chipping).
