Five Lustre and Transfer-decorated Pottery Items, England 19th century, a pitcher with copper lustre bands flanking a yellow band with black transfer "Cornwallis Surrendering his Sword at York Town Oct. 19th 1781" one side and "LA FAYETTE" (Crowned in Glory) on the other side; a small pitcher with mulberry transfer decoration depicting "BUCHANAN AND TARGE" (dueling Scotchmen) on one side and two figures viewing a British ship at sea on the other with pink lustre accents; a small pink lustre-decorated pitcher with landscapes and buildings with oak leaf and acorn border; and an oil spot pink lustre pitcher and small bowl, ht. 2 5/8-9 1/2 in. Cornwallis with spout chip, lower handle repaired with staple, the other two small pitchers with glaze wear on rim and edges.
