Buddhist Stele, China, Northern Wei Dynasty-style, of rectangular gray limestone, low relief carving in the upper niche of Shakyamuni flanked by two attendants, with lower panels of donors, guardians, disciples, and bodhisattvas, the lower section with calligraphy flanked by panels of guardians and lions, with stand, ht. 30 7/8 x 19 3/8 in. Horizontal break across stone on front, chip to front left hand corner.
