Satsuma Censer, Japan, gilded and enameled with scrolling lotus and tendrils with a round pierced bowl fitted into a tall four-legged base surmounted on a round stand with eight foliated legs, cover with seated shishi finial, mark to base of stand, ht. 10 1/2 in. Restoration to the last 1/2 inch on the tail of the shishi finial, two of the legs have been broken off with old rivet repairs in two places.
