Woman's Short Jacket with Skirt, China, 19th century, jacket of dark blue silk embroidered with vases of peonies and other auspicious fruits and flowers, the cream-colored trim decorated with bats, peonies, the shou characters, and the endless knot, sleeve bands with ladies at leisure in garden scenes, framed together with a skirt of cream silk and black trim embroidered with similar design, 64 1/2 x 44 in.
