Sterling Silver Compote, Newark, New Jersey, late 19th/early 20th century, the bowl rim modeled as a foliate grapevines, with a central engraved armorial, raised on a baluster-form stem with a grape-form pedestal base, ht. 11 3/4, dia. 16 1/2 in., approx. 110.3 troy oz. Bowl tilted to one side with related indentation to stem, shallow indention along inner rim of the bowl. Inner bowl also with minor usage wear. No other dents or restorations.
