Three-piece Chinese Export Silver Tea Set, Shanghai, early 20th century, Luen Wo, maker, comprising teapot, creamer, and open sugar, all with bodies modeled as bamboo reeds, and with bamboo-form handles, applied with bamboo branches, flies, and beetles, teapot ht. 5 1/2 in., approx. 32.4 troy oz. sugar: one fly with loss to tip of one antenna teapot: three flies with loss to tip of one leg, and one antenna. some seam separation to handle between heatstops. all with usage wear, including some loss of cripsness to surfaces of decoration from cleaning.
