English, Early 19th century. Satinwood inlaid tea caddy of traditional rectangular lidded form with floral and diamond decoration in oval medallion on lid with additional fanning in corners. Hinged lid lifts to reveal two mahogany and satinwood inlaid lids at top storage compartments within. Front with roses in oval medallions flanking escutcheon. Sides with inlaid shells. Height 5.125", width 8.9", depth 4.6". Provenance: Philip H. Bradley Co. Antiques, Downingtown, Pennsylvania whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia in 1996.
