Two Meissen Porcelain Figures, Saxony, late 19th century, each polychrome enameled and gilded, one Boy as Shepherd after the 1777 model by Acier, the figure affixing a letter to the neck of a carrier pigeon, with a sheep at his feet, with blue crossed swords mark, incised "F. 73," impressed "136," and painted "40," ht. 7 1/4; the other modeled as a young man with a bird's nest in his hat, with blue crossed swords mark, incised "F 68," impressed "62," and painted "10," ht. 7 1/8 in. Each figure appears to be in very good condition with no evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations.
