Five Pieces of Continental Silver Flatware, a French cased dinner spoon and fork, Paris, c. 1840, Jean Francois Veyrat, maker, .950 silver with Minerva and weevil guarantee marks, the handle with rocaille decoration, monogrammed, lg. to 7 1/4; a French spoon with pierced bowl, c. 1800, maker's mark "PIT," under an orb with three pendant rays or leaves, within a vertical diamond, with standard and guarantee marks, lg. 8; an Austrian spoon with pierced shell-form bowl, Vienna, 1882-1922, marked for Alexander Sturm, with partially rubbed .800 silver Dianakopf and dog head marks, lg. 7 1/4; and a Northern European unmarked silver spoon with milkmaid handle and repousse handle of a village scene, lg. 7 7/8 in., approx. 11.2 troy oz. Veyrat spoon and fork with usage wear: scattered surface abrasions, dents to bowl of spoon, and fork tines slightly bent. Case not original. French spoon with areas of metal fatigue and breaks to pierced bowl. Surface abrasions and usage wear throughout. Sturm spoon with usage wear. Repousse spoon with minor scattered pitting and surface abrasions.
