Federal Satinwood-inlaid Mahogany Card Table, Baltimore, Maryland, c. 1800, the skirt inlaid with stringing and the lower edge with dart banding, joining the legs with inlaid shells above stringing and bellflowers, refinished, (minor imperfections), ht. 29 1/4, wd. 39, dp. 17 1/2 in. Provenance: Thurston Nichols American Antiques, Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. 4 legs pieced; veneer cracking in right corner frame, cracking to veneer in apron, especially near where it meets the leg dies; minor surface scratching to top and other minor surface imperfections.
