Currier & Ives, publishers (American, 1857-1907) THE SPIRIT OF '61. /GOD, OUR COUNTRY AND LIBERTY!, 1861, (Conningham, 5653), identified in inscriptions in the matrix, large folio lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, sight size 18 1/2 x 12 1/2 in., in a period molded wood frame. Condition: Tears u.l. into image, and c.l., toning, light scattered foxing, not examined out of frame. The tear into image at u.l. is about 3 1/2 in. lg. going through the flag and onto her forearm, the other tear is about 1/in. dia. is just left of her waist.
