Paint-decorated Chippendale Cherry Chest of Four Drawers, probably eastern Massachusetts, late 18th century, overhanging molded top over the case with pull-out dressing slide and four cockbeaded graduated drawers on bracket feet centering a drop pendant, early 20th century paint, replaced glass pulls, ht. 35, case wd. 34 3/4, case dp. 19 1/2 in. Note: Backboard with early chalk inscription "Boston."
