William Merritt Post (American, 1856-1935) The Parasol Signed "W. Merritt Post" l.r. Oil on canvas, 16 x 12 in. (40.7 x 30.7 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, scattered retouch, craquelure. Retouch primarily to sky, with scattered dots and dashes, and to fill craquelure left center in the distant trees. Larger area of retouch incluiding a L-shaped area center left side measuring 1-1/2 x 3/4 inches. Two areas of retouch to u.c., each measuring 2-1/2 x 1/2 inch.
