Bertram Hartman (American, 1882-1960) Winter Bouquet Signed and dated "Bertram Hartman 1928" l. l., identified on a label affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 28 x 22 in. (71.0 x 55.7 cm), framed. Condition: Abrasion and punctures in l.r. quadrant, mild canvas deformation, surface grime. On the stretcher is a label, which seems to be in the hand of the artist, and which reads, "Winter Bouquet/Bertram Hartman/240 East 20 - ST New York." Canvas deformations; two tears to l.r. quadrant--one L-shaped tear measuring approx. 3/4 x 1/2 in., the other tear measuring approx. 2 in. length; abrasion to l.r. quadrant approx. 1 1/2 in.; no additional condition issues to report.
