Winfield Scott Clime (American, 1881-1958) Sketch from Nature, Georgetown Heights Signed and dated "CLIME/1914" l. l., inscribed, dated, and signed "...near Foxhall Road/Feb. 22nd 1914...Winfield Scott Clime/Washington, D.C." on the reverse. Oil on canvasboard, 10 3/4 x 13 3/4 in. (27.5 x 34.9 cm), framed. Condition: Minor frame abrasions, slight bowing to support, minor surface grime. Full inscription on the reverse reads, "Sketch from nature/Georgetown Heights near Foxhall Rd./Feb. 22nd 1914 Cold as/Winfield Scott Clime/Washington D.C." There is also a faint pencil inscription on the reverse, "Georget..."
