Yolande Fievre (French, 1907-1983) Mystery Story , 1967 Signed, dated, and titled "Fievre Juillet 1967... " in pen and identified on a label from the Makler Gallery (see below) on the reverse. Mixed media (found wood, tin, seeds, and stone) assemblage, 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 3 in. (24.0 x 24.0 x 7.0 cm), in a shadow box. Condition: Two loose stones. Provenance: Purchased from the Makler Gallery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, February 21, 1969. N.B. A copy of the original invoice accompanies the lot. Three loose stones which have disadhered from their wood supports to the l.r. quadrant; no additional condition issues to report.
