Two Military Trowels, one with a oak turned handle, brass ferrule stamped U. S. Springfield on one side and on the other 1308 , single edge stainless steel blade, leather scabbard with brass belt hook stamped R.I.A on reverse; the other with a oak turned handle stamped US stainless steel blade and ferrule, lg. 13 1/4 and 12 3/4 in., respectively. Provenance: Higgins Armory Museum, Worcester, Massachusetts.
