Two Psittacosaurus Dinosaur Skeletons Western Liaoning Province, China Early Cretaceous (121-125 million years old) Yixian Formation Including one probable adult, lg. approximately 48 in. and a newborn, lg. approximately 8 in., both professionally mounted on a wooden board under a plexiglas case. Note: Psittacosaurus is the most abundant and widely distributed ceratopsian dinosaur in the Lower Cretaceous area of Asia. It is a small (less than six feet in length) herbivore with a prominent parrot-like beak and high nostrils giving the skull a squashed appearance. Both skeletons with replacement rib cage and other minor replacements. 6 inches of tail on larger specimen replaced, miscellaneous joints on feet restored as well as various vertebrae.
