Eight Svegards Markaryd Dining Chairs Teak and simulated leather Sweden, c. 1965 Wide horizontal back rail, black upholstered seat, square tapering legs, marked Svegards Markaryd, Made in Sweden, ht. 30 1/4 in. Provenance: Collection of an architect (Harvard Graduate School of Design 1952) and his wife who purchased their Carl Koch-designed home in 1957, and furnished it with Mid-century modern designs from Design Research and the Upper Story, iconic Cambridge, Massachusetts, stores.
