Carving of St. Francis, Continental, depicted in monk's robes and stepping forward with arms outstretched, with traces of gold leaf on his head, approx. ht. 33, wd. 18 in. Hands and head separate, hands joined by nails and head as a mortice and tenon join. Loss to three fingers on one hand, scattered losses allover particuarly to arms, hands and feet. Worming present throughout. Several cracks in robe. Several repairs visible to arms and hood of cloak.
