Shell-form Majolica Centerpiece, England, late 19th century, attributed to George Jones, modeled as a cherub holding a shell-form bowl while riding a dolphin, the dolphin is positioned in the center of an open shell with two further shell-form dishes below, all on two coral and wave feet, impressed "Copyright Reserved" to base, ht. 14 1/2 in. Professional restoration to rims of shells, and larger repairs to one large turquoise shell, small scattered chips along rim of top shell, some scattered glaze flakes.
