Four Provincial Side Chairs, Italy, late 18th century, back rail with oval medallions, painted, ht. 34 3/4, wd. 19 1/2, dp. 14 1/2 in. All with flaking and loss to painted surfaces, scattered worming, and all with repaired cracks to back rail. One chair with a loose bracket beneath the seat. One with a repaired break to brackets, front legs/feet with losses associated with worm damage, additional brackets added to back behind seat rail for support. One with a loose joint between the back leg and seat rail and also with small area of worm damage to front of seat rail. And the last with losses to the left side stretcher associated with worming.
